South Field Energy Project
As part of a joint venture, our team was selected to construct a 1,100MW combined cycle power plant consisting of two GE 7HA.02 gas turbines and two Alstom steam turbines.
The project consisted of two 1×1 units that can operate independently of each other and use General Electric state-of-the-art turbine technology. The combined cycle design of the plant produces electricity more efficiently by capturing waste heat to create additional electricity using a steam turbine/generator lineup. Exhaust from the two combustion turbine generators is used in heat recovery steam generators to produce the required steam for the steam turbine generator. This process ultimately improves the plant efficiency and output.
